OKUDA is a Madrid based visual artist known for his colourful paintings in which his subjects get rearranged into hyper colourful pixel-like elements of unusual, mostly triangular shapes. His murals make this style stand out in an almost surrealist style.
After his artistic start in 1997, Okuda started painting near abandoned railway tracks and warehouses as well as in his studio.10 years after this autodidactic start, he received a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Complutense University of Madrid and started developing the personal style that he is known for today as late as 2009. Today, his works are characterised by the use of multi-coloured geometrical structures with strong contrast. These are often connected with entities like bodies, symbols or organic forms. Besides murals, Okuda also expresses himself on canvas, in sculpture, photography, video and tapestry.
